As executive Vice President and Director of Banking Services at City National Bank, Jan is responsible for many of the company's fundamental client service activities, including check processing, statement production, coin and currency, and ATM operations. She also oversees information systems, loan service and underwriting, and international cash management, e-commerce, and investment operations. She serves on the five-member Strategy and Planning Committee and the Executive Committee, as well.
Before joining City National Bank, Jan worked for two years at Home Savings of America, where she was Executive Vice President and Director of Banking Services. In addition to overseeing banking operations and cash management, she was responsible for major productivity improvements to the bank's residential mortgage lending business and was a member of the Management Committee and Asset/Liability Committee.
Between 1984 and 1996, Jan was a Senior Executive at First Interstate Bancorporations, serving on the company's Administrative Committee and the Managing Committee of First Interstate Bank of California. From 1980 to 1984, Jan was Vice President at Crocker Bank.
Jan received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Oklahoma State University. She is a life member of the university's Alumni Association, and was recently honored as the Outstanding Arts and Sciences Graduate. She also sits on the University of Redlands Board of Trustees as well as the board's Executive Committee, and chairs the Advisory Board of the University's business school.
In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of People Assisting the Homeless (PATH), Jan is an emeritus board member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles, and Past President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of its predecessor, Big Sisters of Los Angeles. She also is a founding board members of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and a member of the President's Council of the National Breast Cancer Coalition.
